Graig Penllyn Waypoint 1
Much of this route is through tree lined lanes with bridlegates on one section, some sections are steep and in places can be muddy. The route is a mix of country lanes and restricted byways (RB). Please be aware of traffic. There are no designated car parks along the route and opportunities to park are very limited. Please park carefully so as not to obstruct traffic or gateways. For more information, click here to visit the Council website. Leave Graig Penllyn along the road heading north east towards City. Turn right at the T junction then take the first left before entering City. Graig Penllyn Waypoint 2
Leave the road through the bridlegate on the right beside a set of large metal gates which lead top Argoed Isha Quarry. Continue parallel to the Quarry acess road to the top of the field. Turn right, riding along the top edge of the field to pass through a bridlegate leading onto a green lane. Graig Penllyn Waypoint 3
At the road, turn right down hill and continue straight ahead Graig Penllyn Waypoint 4
Turn right onto a driveway leading to Chatwood House. Leave the driveway shortly before reaching the house through a bridlegate on the left to follow the track through a field. Leave the field through a bridlegate and turn sharp right then left on to a track which skirts the edge of Coed y Stanby woods. As the track swinga left, turn right onto a narrow track to continue following the edge of the woodland. Graig Penllyn Waypoint 5

At the road, turn right then quickly left to continue up the next green lane. Turn right at the road to return to Graig Penllyn village.
