HOPx02 Start / Finish
From the parking near Bucks Head Farm, on the old A5, ride down the road awayfrom Lichfield and take the first bridleway left, crossing the new A5.

Bridleway
At Bucks Head Cottages take the bridleway on the right onto Knox`s Grave Lane towards the A51.
HOPw02 Waypoint 2
Road
Turn left briefly on the A51 and shortly right again into Hopwas Heys Wood.

Bridleway
Follow the track to your left keeping the wood on your right.

Bridleway
At the end of the wood at a T junction of tracks, turn right then take the left fork.

At the canal turn right to follow the route of the canal.

Bridleway
Ignore the bridleway which crosses the canal on the left to continue round to the right away from the canal, then straight ahead, completing the loop in the wood.

Go straight ahead on the track known as Hopwas Hays Lane.

Cross a stream then fork right to Common Lane, and turn right on the lane.

Turn right onto the bridleway and continue straight ahead to cross the canal.

Road
Turn left on a road with the canal on your left, then cross back over the canal to immediately turn left on a bridleway.

At a cross way of tracks by Cotton House turn right [Vicarage Lane] then turn left when you reach the road.

At the cross roads turn left and just before the school right on a track known as Sandy Lane.

At a cross ways of tracks turn right to pass Brewery Farm then through the edge of a wood to turn left on Lichfield Road.

When Lichfield Road ends turn briefly right on Tamworth Road then left on the Heart of England Way.

Bridleway
The bridleway continues straight ahead for two miles.

Bridleway
Cross Jerry`s Lane and then right and left across Knox`s Lane towards Buck`s Head Cottages.

Bridleway
Take the right fork just before Buck`s Head Cottages, crossing the new A5 to the old A5 turning left to Buck`s Head Farm and the parking.
