Whitfield (8.21 miles 13.13 km ) Print

This loop can be ridden from the car park on the Biddulph Valley Way at the junction of Station Road and Smokey`s Way. There are several riding routes in Whitfield Nature Reserve.
This map shows the most straightforward Loop, omitting the hill and following the outer edges of the reserve clockwise.
The paths are red shale or tarmac with good grass verges.

Leave the car park onto the Way going South.

Bear left at the junction.

Continue along the track with the old colliery site on your left.

Keep to the foot of the hill ignoring tracks leading off left.

Turn left along the edge of the stream to where the outward route joins and follow this back to the car park.
