JUDw01 Ride Waypoint 1
The Judges Ride is a series of three circular routes of 6, 16 or 26km.These rides take in the quiet leafy tracks and great views of the Chiltern Hills around the villages of Hailey, Little Stoke, North Stoke, Mongewell, Stoke Row, Ipsden and Checkendon. The routes mostly follow bridleways, with some use of country lanes. They are part of Oxfordshire County Council promoted route portfolio (click here to visit their website), which means that the routes are surveyed annually. The routes are signed with circular walk waymark discs. Although these routes have been designed to be travelled by bicycle or on horseback, you can also walk the routes.From the Black Horse pub, turn left up the lane, at first crossroads turn right.

JUDw02 Ride Waypoint 2
Straight on at crossroads. At next junction keep left along the road through the woods.

JUDw03 Ride Waypoint 3
SHORT ROUTE: continue along the track to junction at waypoint 14. MEDIUM ROUTE: turn left at the lane. At path junctions, carry straight on, ignoring track to Harwood Farm. At road junction go straight on.

JUDw04 Ride Waypoint 4
At bridleway (BW) turn right uphill beside field with Warren Hill Farm on right.

JUDw05 Ride Waypoint 5
At top of hill, turn left down lane, pass King William pub, keep straight on until junction with road.

JUDw06 Ride Waypoint 6
Turn right on road and keep straight on, passing Poors Farm on the right and continuing to road junction.

JUDw07 Ride Waypoint 7
MEDIUM ROUTE: turn right to waypoint 13. LONG ROUTE: take BW left crossing two roads. Follow path across field to the busy A4074. Cross with care onto BW and cross field.

JUDw08 Ride Waypoint 8
At the cross point of two paths, do not go across next field to buildings but turn right uphill passing Camerons Copse. Cross the busy B4009 with care and go straight on along road into Littlestoke.

JUDw09 Ride Waypoint 9
At Littlestoke Manor, follow road round to right. Further on, ignore path left signed North Stoke. When the road bears right, take trackstraight ahead between stone posts. Straight on through village past mill pond. Take Ridgewaystraight on past golf course.

JUDw10 Ride Waypoint 10
Turn right after mobile homes at the Judges Ride signpost and follow lane to cross A4074 with care. Turn left along verge for 100m.

JUDw11 Ride Waypoint 11
Turn right through the gate onto Ridgeway path and continue straight over first lane crossing.

JUDw12 Ride Waypoint 12
At second lane crossing, turn right.

JUDw13 Ride Waypoint 13
MEDIUM ROUTE: turn right. LONG ROUTE: turn left up the drive to Woodhouse Farm, joining Restricted Byway (RB). Ride uphill on stone track bearing left after sharp right hand bend along track to Mongewell Woods. Keep straight on to road crossing.

JUDw14 Ride Waypoint 14
straight on down White Calls Lane passing Oakingham House. The route becomes an enclosed path and then a road. Ignore RB right and footpath signs.

JUDw15 Ride Waypoint 15
Turn right at BW. Follow path through woodland to lane. Turn roght at lane passing Crooked Billet pub.

JUDw16 Ride Waypoint 16
At road junction, straight ahead doen Busgrove Lane. Follow lane downhill. Turn rightat Judges Ride BW through woods. Pass cottage on left and continue on track to lane. Cross lane and contune straight on to Black Horse pub when the ride began.
