PLAP Route 12 - Arden Great Moor, North Yorkshire (12 miles)

This is one of twenty of the British Horse Society Paralympic Legacy Access Project routes launched in September 2013 to commemorate the achievements of the paralympics and Para World Carriage Driving Championships in 2012.
This route unfortunately cannot be divided into individual "bite-sized" sections without retracing track already driven (with a horse/pony). It is less physically demanding if driven in an anti-clockwise direction, and the importance of a telephone and adequate spares and first aid equipment is underlined. Other considerations include
(i) A variety of ground surfaces ranging from the sublime to the unenviable (in one short area)
(ii) Steep slopes in some places (marked on the accompanying map)
(iii) Practical facilities are few and far between.
